Adios, Cowoby – Arc 1 – Day 62 aka THE LAST PRODUCTION DIARY OF ARC 1

Whelp, here we are. We are at T-Minus 1 day until launch and everything is…fine. For real, everything is good to go. The first two weeks of reviews are scheduled and squared away. I had hoped to have three weeks queued up at weekend’s end. Instead, I spent all day yesterday playing Stellaris.

It’s hard to walk away when you are trying to unify a hive mind, a machine intelligence, and a race of space birds into a federation against a rampaging horde of wide-jawed space monsters. The task is made even more difficult when the machine intelligence hates the space birds, and the hive mind seems to think that the problems of the galaxy are going to skirt around its borders. Non-humans, am I right?

Then the primitives that I uplifted from the medieval age to a warp-capable civilization over the course of a few decades turned out to be assholes. Now these punks think they can overthrow me. It’s actually kind of adorable. I parked a battleship in orbit of their planet to remind them who is boss.

But back to Adios, Cowboy. The review of Asteroid Blues goes live tomorrow at noon EDT. Subsequent reviews will go live every Monday and Thursday at noon until we get to the end of the first arc.

In the meantime, I’m going to call this the last production dairy of arc one. I know, it’s sad. But fear not, good readers. Tomorrow, we start writing the arc two production dairy. The endless Adam nonsense will continue.
