Adios, Cowboy – Arc 1 – Day 14

Two weeks into this project and all is well. For those keeping score at home, in the last fortnight I have produced 6,956 words spread out over six reviews.

Even by my old Page of Reviews production schedule, where I was writing three reviews per week (usually ringing in at about 800 words per review), I think I’m keeping up a pretty impressive pace. That’s right, I’m taking a moment to pat myself on the back. I will get back to the crippling insecurity and self-doubt in short order.

I’m contemplating writing an “interlude” editorial after I finish my review of Heavy Metal Queen. A number of stray thoughts on Cowboy Bebop have started to build to a critical mass. I think the only way to prevent them from seeping into the rest of the reviews is to give them a proper paper exorcism.

Turning to the Macross missile front; it turns out that the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor is not capable of deploying a Macross missile attack. When the F-22 is flying with an air-to-air engagement loadout, it carries a maximum of eight missiles. Eight. Missiles. Boo, Lockheed-Martin, boo.

Eight missiles does not make a Macross missile strike.
